It seems that the core of our society is broken and the world is shaking with political and social divisions over everything, Covid, masks, vaccines, political correctness, and critical race theory to name a few. The strife between people may persist but through Christ we are first reconciled with God and then with each other. Through the saving grace of Jesus Christ we have been born again into a new identity, a child of God!
He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. - John 1:11-13 ESV
Thank you Jesus for taking on the sin of the world. We sin against a holy God, have broken his commandments, and Jesus paid the price.
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:6-8 ESV
